Contrast issue?

I can't tell what this problem is, whites fade in and out with greens and reds (mainly greens) and blacks fade in, out, and exist with reds. Here's a screenshot for what I mean.

It is more pronounced on some games, videos, and images than others.

Those are two the most pronounced areas where it is effecting it. It really ruins the look of some games to just randomly see green and red in white smoke, or shadows to be ruined with a little bit of red.

I really can't explain it, any help is appreciated.

Simple secretarial work. What GPU are you running? What patch version? Does the effect only affect Warband or does it come across in other games?

In short - I see what you're referring to in those screenshots but they are minor problems at best. If they only happen in Warband then that's where to look - as in software. If they happen in other games and programs as well is when we start looking at hardware. Good luck!

It effects everything, any picture or video.

Though, I realized I have some stuff to update on my machine, I'll get back to you once that's done. I also updated the GPU's drivers earlier, no dice.

But my system though.

XFX Radeon HD 7850
Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H Motherboard
Intel i5 3570K CPU

Your last Skyrim example looks perfectly fine from this end. Which made me start to wonder what problem you're actually seeing.

I think your problem is that your gamma correction is too high. That is an issue with your monitor and not with any software or your GPU. Turn down the gamma on your monitor and see if you can't make the more glaring problems disappear.

Trust me when I say that none of the screenshots you've given us are really problems in any way. At least not from the perspective of my monitor. I'm almost certain that fiddling with your monitor settings will make most of your problems go away. Good luck!

Changing the brightness through Catalyst Control Center fixed it. Thanks for the help +rep

Well, I used QuickGamma to set my gamma to 2.2, and shadows and such are more green than dark. turning it down makes everything too dark, and up too bright.

Why did you download QuickGamma? By adding a 3rd party video filter you're making a mess of things. Remove it and use only the GPU software and monitor output. KISS. Good luck!

If you scroll down to Gamma and Black level chart that's what QuickGamma is based off of. It's simpler and a bit easier than using what CCC has in store.

You may or may not see the issue here, but in the corners where the larger soldiers are, where they are supposed to be shadowed it is a green tint. It's more obvious on the guy to the left.

I've ruled out gamma and contrast, and I'm trying to figure out what this issue could be.

There we go, that last image there, you can see it in Uncle Mario's Gloves, Armor, and the Codex. That light may seem like it's causing it, but NO, that is just there. The weird shading and tint is the issue that is not caused by that light!

There we are. The issue is more apparent in the Desktop one, right where his shoulder and arm is. You can kind of make out the greenish tint, it is easier to see on my screen.
This is happening with all dark areas and shadows in games, videos, and pictures.

You have to play with the color settings on your monitor if you have the option. Your screenshots look fine to us because we see it how it should look - our monitors aren't throwing off as much blue as yours would seem to be doing from that last photo.
