The siege of Kerry, Ireland

Duke de Verbeek's forces have marched on the now isolated rebel city of Kerry. 2,200 men are sitting outside the walls, waiting either for the Irish to meet them in the field or for the requested English reinforcements.

A letter arrives.

Duke de Verbeek,

I have sent 2 000 men to reinforce your army. They should arrive shortly after you receive this message.

[Adamat]

With the new royal troops, Duke de Verbeek now commands 4,200 men. They start building siege equipment for the upcoming storming of the walls.

With a siege tower, two rams and a large number of ladders ready for action, Duke de Verbeek and his army form up for battle.

The siege towers and the rams start rolling through the center, whilst the flanks man the ladders. De Verbeek is still horsed, waiting for the gates to open along with a cavalry component.

The troops keep up the pressure, while De Verbeek and his personal guard join the battle and rally the troops.

The English pull back, and the Duke rides out with a white flag. "Surrender now, and you shall be spared punishment! Look at Limerick! We left them unscathed!"

Hah! You cannot even beat 200 men! Pathetic! Come back and fight like a man!

The Irish jeer.

[Adamat]

The Duke simply shrugs. "Do you see these forces ouside your walls? They are still more than 3500. We shall kill you to the last man, even though you cower behind walls. I say this one more time. Surrender, and be spared. Fight on, and be punished with torture and death!"

[Gandalfus]

They simply flash their collective backsides at the English.

[Adamat]

The Duke rides off, and the siege engines once again start rolling, the men rested up a bit.
