At the feet of the lonely mountain, the city of Dale stands proudly. Founded by northmen who were seeking to take advantage of the trade coming out and in of Erebor,

Dale is a commercial and geographical hotspot. Everyone, merchant or visitor, has to go through it to enter the Dwarfish Kingdom.

Due to this the King's under the Mountain have kept a great relationship with the Men of Dale, eager to trade with them and specially hire some mercenary riders from them
