Following the attack on Mistrand by the dragon Groga, the Balchoth have become very zealous in patrols, the goblin being watched by patrols for nearly his entire journey through the brown lands, and upon arriving at Mistrand, which is partially destroyed still from the dragon attack, is hailed by several guards.

    "Who goes there?"

The Balchoth sentries open the gate, but Grog is kept a close watch on as he is led to Warmaster Huz and Othava, Warlord of the Balchoth of the Sea of Rhun. Othava looks at the goblin. "A goblin. My men tell me you hail from the Misty Mountains..what buisness does your King have with the Balchoth?"

We hear the dwarves are attacking our brothers in Moria and the elves, men, and other dwarves plan war against all who follow Sauron. We seek to make sure the dragon has not hurt you too badly.

"Around fifteen hundred of my men were killed by that beast, and half of Mistrand leveled or ruined. A good percentage of the citizens who once lived here have fled in their wains to other Warlords or further east to Rhun. The Balchoth survived nearly being destroyed by the horse lords and Gondor after nearly seizing Caelhadron from Gondor, and we will survive this beast as well." Othava nods. "Of course the free people plan to wage war against us, as a unified force in the futile hope they can save their lands from the dark lord's wrath."

I congratulate you on your survival my friend. I was sent to ascertain friendly relations and make sure you had survived the dragon.

"Thank you, although who knows what will happen the next time that accursed thing returns. If it does. As for relations, of course we are friendly towards the goblins, as fellow followers of the dark lord and enemy of the remaining free people of Rhovanion."

"At this time, no I do not. Safe travels back to the Misty Mountains, goblin." Othava nods to Grog before shouting in the language of the Balchoth at several craftsmen who are attempting to repair some housing.

Following the attack of the dragon on Mistrand, the Balchoth have begun an extensive trade network across the Brown Lands, caravans traversing from tribal city to city, bringing goods from the Sea of Rhun and Rhun itself across the plains. To the east, some caravans trade with the Easterling lords in the Rhunic Mistrand and other cities, bringing back ornate jewelry and other fine Easterling products for Balchoth goods. Horsemen are beginning to be massed in Mistrand with the stables rebuilt to serve as a patrol system to detect early raids by men, elves, bearded midgets, and dragons. The Armory is also being restocked with fine scale armor suits for the Balchoth warriors being trained to replace those who fell in the dragon's attack.
