I'm not doing horribly in the campaign. I've been making strides and winning most my battles, each and every grueling one by hand, outnumbered almost all the time. My problem is, I'm running a 2-front war, and soon maybe even a 3-front war, from all 3 of the strongest factions - Germanics, The Seleucids, and finally Carthage I forsee in a turn or 5 attacking me.
Here's my current empire and main armies:
Greece: (The army in first pic is next to singdunum in the upper left about to attack the germanic army sieging)
Asia:
Egypt:
Finances and Faction Standings:
I've fought and fought, and destroyed tons of the Seleucids armies and Germanic armies. Slowing them down, and progressing slowly, but surely. However my faction leader is getting quite old, and after sacking Alexanderia (and gaining the butcher title, I much preferred the brave) I see that Carthage has taken land quite close to mine. My biggest mistake of this campaign was not scouting out territories and implementing spies. My main issue right now though is - money. Funding my army, and my cities has delayed my spending 'extra' money on spies and such.
So what's the best plan of action? As you can see my main army in Alexandria I've taken across europe into asia, and has a lot of experience. Carthage wouldnt be impossible to beat, but with the Seleucids still assaulting me with full stacks of armies and the germanics to the north harassing Greece, I'm afraid my forces will be overwhelmed.
(BTW I have SPQR mod installed, it doesnt mess with XGM, only the banners and music if anyone notices that)
