One of the biggest questions.
So, many Roman factions or just one?
United as 1 faction
Many different factions (Julii, Brutii, Senate...)
Must see it first
I just want those "Caesars jet pack trooper DLC" units, that`s all i care

Apologies for anyone who's message i may miss or not be able to answer
I voted must see it first as it depends for me on how the other factions are displayed and how the map is divided. If there are many small factions and we start at the beginning of Roman history (right after the Etruscans) then many factions vying for power would be cool and decide how Rome is to be build. If it as Rome 1 is centred around Julius Caesar and his rise to power then only 2 factions are really needed the Julii and allies and The Senate with the Brutii as their champion. If we have a much later start date and the Roman empire is about to fall then many factions would be great. Then factions covering both east and west + some of the regions could have factions as well like Spain and Britain and others having their Consuls as separate factions still under control of the senate but with their own agendas and so on to simulate the problems in Rome at the time and the Split of power that ultimately along with corruption and decadence was the real downfall of the Roman empire.
I watch and Learn
its already decided, will only be one
Rome needed to be split up in the original because no one ever threatened Italy and Rome probably would have steamrolled everything, hopefully a united Rome is a good sign.

Indifferentm I see advantages and disadvantage in both so I'll wait and see.

You might have both. In the beginning you have just 1 roman empire. But as soon as civil wars are starting, you have provinces and cities which support the different rebel factions occuring, e.g. Octavian and Antonius divided the empire very much in the same manner as it was done later in the 4th century. It will be interesting to see how CA will manage this. Some mods already showed opportunities how to deal with upcoming usurpations and sub-empires.
But starting with 3 Roman factions like vanilla Rome 1 is nonsense. We need a better political-managment-system and not an artificial division of the roman empire.

I voted Must See First. I was totally cool with the split Roman factions in RTW, they did it well. However, I think that Rome should probably be a single faction in the game until you get to the points of civil war (if at all). I don't think this should be scripted to happen automatically regardless of your actions, but should happen circumstantially.
I voted for the jet pack troopers. sounds awsome![]()

It is confirmed that it will be united.
