How do I reduce the size of pictures...

..from, say, 1meg to 500kb? Thanks in advance for any help. Hope I've put this question in the right place. Haven't been posting here for a while, and I'm a bit rusty.

You could either convert the image to another format, such as from tga to Jpeg, or you could simply reduce the quality of the image.
