You could probably use the animations/skeleton/work released by Briarius for his wolves... Can't remember where exactly they're located but its a safe bet they're in the mod workshop

It would make more sense to have the bears fighting on two feet. The best solution would be to have them running on four legs and standing up when fighting but it would require someone who can create animations. To be honest bears would be a cool addition but I would say the mod still have bigger priorities than the bears.

and no offence meant by my next comment im glad your working on stuff like this ... but

it looks very much like someone has got a toy castle and has removed some of the plastic packaging but not all of it .. sorry probably not the reaction you were going for but that comment came into my head as soon as i saw your pic ... also the ramparts really break up the effect .. not sure if they still would with black stonework though

anyways keep up the excellent work

but i post this just to show idea how to do this, i mean to make planes around actual model and make glowing texture with alpha map and apply it to planes around castle...

He's clearly just showing us the effect of the glow , Im just curious as how you can get this ingame? Is it just done by making a planar model and using alpha channels?

not sure if it can be done but when you do balrog can you try and make a shadowy fiery effect?

the upside looks good.. the downside looks like sunrays.. if you could make that same as upside.. i think it woul look great
