    We have to update our copyright statement in the OP because instead of contacting me with potential problems, someone is attempting to shut down our files posted at download site without being able to name any specific copyright issues.

    As stated in the readme file which is part of the must-read before the installation, in case of unintentional omission of credit or accidental unpermitted inclusion of prior arts, the Amazons Total War mod team would be more than happy to correct the mistakes. The main point of contact should be the mod leader, namely me.

    However, the onus is on the party with grievances to contact the mod leader (again, me) first to substantiate such claim and to attempt to resolve the case. If the party is not able to substantiate any claims but continually making such claims nevertheless, and attempting to disrupt the mod team's file distribution operations: such an act, if proved to be true, amounts to defamation and harassment and will be brought to attention to all relevant organizations.

    A latest effort for the latest 7.0C has been to make the mod runnable on less memory with higher speed, and still not losing the quality of the original animation.

    This is done by...

    . removing many un-used mesh which was created in the original animation files.
    . Also some thorough review of units' fighting technique has resulted in very large reduction of mesh from the secondary weapons (for example, sword and sword belt hang on the soldier now uses ax as secondary arm).
    . Redo how the hair is done (I know, it is a big issue for us women in real life as well, not just in the virtual world). Hair animation requires polygon counts nearly equal to the rest of the warrior animation. This has been streamlined.

    The spear of amazon militia hoplite seems to be useless, because they always use sword to fight in melee.

    Is this the latest 7.0C mod? because we have changed (from beta) to use spear only.

    Another upload of 7.0C has been uploaded to the server.

    This is to correct CTD's spotted by naftykid while visiting the city on the battlemap.

    In addition, the following changes were supposed to be in the mod but did not make it in time, they are now added.

    - added armored elephant umbrella cover
    - changed weapons model for amazon generals
    - changes weapons model for amazon elite scout
    - updated amazon chariot archer animation
    - updated animation for amazon round shield unit
    - new animation for Scythian head hunting maiden.

    As of March 9th, 2013 - 7.0C release with patch is out


    • Corrected an Amazon arbalest elbow animation issue, the elbow bone were set too far over the elbow and resulted in strange appearance during aiming.
    • added Amazon edge-less version of Thyssa Arbalest Cavalry and Arbalest Infantry units, now the legs will not show edge.
    • Corrected Amazon Peltast animation where in side-looking motion, the head would come off the shoulder, due to older 3DS Max always deform issue with new animation files.
    • corrected mano-ballista animation while being used by foot arbalests.

    Noticed a minor problem with the Libyan Amazons, their Heavy Peltast uses the same red colouring as the Thermodon Amazons instead of the usual green.

    Edit: Mercenary Amazon Peltasts seem to disappear once your camera moves away from them (about the same distance where other units switch to sprites on lower graphical settings).

    I've also noticed the save button being greyed out on the campaign's menu when starting a new campaign. Its happened twice before now, could be something to do with activating the script.

    2nd Edit: Libyan Amazon's Desert Skirmishers have a melee damage of 0 so they'll refuse to enter hand-to-hand combat even when they've run out of javelins.

    Going from the test record, there might have been an Amazon Heavy Peltast with wrong color assignment. But just check the latest 7.0C with patch (download URL is at OP), the color is correct as far as Libyan Amazons are concerned.

    The Mercenary Amazon Peltast sprite issue has been corrected.

    And we are looking into the save game problem, for some reasons it only seems to affect the Libyan Amazon.

    Celestial Shuttle Buddy also got the 7.0C file uploaded to StrategyInformer, the file is actually posted, but in the wrong category, and the downloading there still being iffy working on and off.

    I have CTD in 7C. Playing as Thyssa, year 267BCE: Armen diplomat offers map, I accept, AI moves on to Greeks, CTD. If I refuse the Armens AI moves on, Scythian diplomat offers his map - accepting that is OK, no CTD. Problem seems to be the Armen map.

    Or something Armens need to show on the strategy screen but does not have the correct animation for it. Will have to look into it but thank you for posting the findings.

    Thanks again for your finding.

    Our test team has came back with their latest results and there is no conclusive evidence of anything is wrong. However, we do suspect that the auto-saved game can be corrupt when the game engine is running out of buffer. So the best way is to save the game manually.

    Also regarding another previous post, the Libyan Amazon can not save the game on first turn, but would be able to do so (at the least in our testings) afterwards.

    In our next major release, we will correct that issue, but for now, it is not a show stopper.

    niI'm not sure if this is part of the script or not but occasionally when starting a new game, usually after the first or second turn the date will jump to 350 CE.
    Just started a new game with the Geothe and it happened after the first turn, started another and it didn't happen.
    Doesn't seem to matter what faction I play as either, it'll happen on some new campaigns but not others.

    Some factions also seem to be missing victory conditions on the Faction Selection screen.

    The year goes to 350 because the script can not be run twice at the first turn.

    This is an old 4 TPY problem.

    7.0C now has a second patch.

    Changes has to do with animation and modeling issue.

    - The armored chariot archers weren't armored due to a modeling limitation, it is now corrected.
    We really have some amazing animation specialists.
    - The cover for the battlewagon has been re-done with more armor.
    - New plumbatarii cohort model and animation.
    - New armored plumbatarii model and animation.
    - Finnic Archers both mounted and foot archers are re-animated for smoother appearance.
    - New Thyssa Arbalest cavalry and infantry animation.
    - Arbalest cavalry and infantry units are now recruitable by Libyan Amazons
    - Amazon infantry units have re-assessed Balanced Unit Modeling (B.U.M.) evaluation and equipment as appeared
    in the texture and their 3D models have been adjusted.
    - clothing and armors have been re-designed.
    - animation optimization continues

    Honestly, I feel I'm fed up of playing this mod, since it changed too much with v7.0. This is one of the best mod in TWC, but I'm no longer like it. Sorry to make you guys hear it, but this is my true feeling.
