A meeting of Irish Lords
ever since the conquest of Ireland people have resisted English rule. Recent events have only added fuel to the fire. The King of England slowly began replacing native Irish Lords with his own men. Now the Irish Lords gather in secret to discuss events. Even peasants on the street are furious with the taxes from the King. Seamus enters this meeting of Irish Lords.

Re: A meeting of Irish Lords
Many Irish lords from across the border were meeting with the ones who were under English vassalage. They sat in a circle, with Brian O'Connor sitting at the assembly's head. Seamus was invited to join the men.

Brian nodded to him, then began.
Friends, fellow Irishmen, we are all suffering under the tyranny of the English. We must unite under one banner, and drive the English from the Emerald Isle!
Many lords nodded in agreement, whereas others simply looked at each other blankly.

THere are many cheer at this and Seamus looks at his fellow Irish men.
"My lords speaking for the peasants of the realm the English are taxing us dry. Gold and food are scarce. We aren't allowed to hunt or fish. If this keeps up the English will have the Isle."

Brian smiles warmly.
It is good to know the peasants share our sentiments, my good man. All of Ireland hates the English, and they must go. Ireland must be free, and united under one high king!
Many lords roared in agreement.

Re: A meeting of Irish Lords
Brian looks around.
Who among us should be king, my lords? Who shall free Ireland?
Low mutterings are heard around the room, and slowly, a chant begins to circulate. "Brian, Brian, Brian!" They chant, over and over, and soon, it is taken up all around the room.

Re: A meeting of Irish Lords
We shall declare our kingdom, for all to see, then we shall strike out against those who would remain loyal to tyranny! For Ireland! For Freedom!
The men roared in excitement. FREEDOM! IRELAND! They chanted, until they were hushed. The lords departed, and made their way towards Connacht, where the king would be crowned.

Seamus looks surprised by the offer.
"My king you are most generous, but I have never even held a sword before. I am more of a Bowman I know the woods of Ireland by heart."

"I know the land here well. If I had around 50 good bowmen I could set up ambushes all over the lands. Hit and run attacks against the English. We fir a few volleys into the English amen and then melt into the woods before they know what happened."

Re: A meeting of Irish Lords
I had already planned something similar. We Irish could never match the English knights in combat, it has been proven before. Guerrilla tactics and weight of numbers are our only options.
He grimaced.
