About Haitian roster, are you sure that the National Guard is a guard unit and not a provincial unit ?
French National Guard was not a guard unit, but a provincial unit and a political army.
Paris's National Guard was an "elite" corps, but not a guard unit compare to the "Gardes Françaises" for instance.
Did Haitian use "conscription" ?
I'm not sure about Haitian dragoons but they should certainly have a cavalry unit (light or between light and line cavalry).
Provincial units represent the 2 social class : mulattoes (mulattoes infantry) and black (ex-slave)
Irregular units could be :
- mawon (nèg marron, ex-slave who had evaded and regroup in community in unaccessible land)
- slave rebel bands
- "white militia" available to all but not Haitian
An other interesting quote :
1799 campaign (Toussaint vs Rigaud)
But this is not the place to discuss about, this is the "Imperial Splendour 2.2.1b Dev Diary" thread, not suggestion thread nor "Haiti - gameplay discussion" one
162eRI post This is not a Napoleon uniform, but a French republic uniform. Haiti was part of the French colonies and was called Saint Domingue. With the French revolution, there were revolts in Haiti and the black gain independence. They were wearing French uniforms because many used to be part of the French colonial army and others captured this uniforms on the defeated French army sent to recapture the island. ;-) Cheers

162eRI post QUOTE=162eRI;12276467]Nice!
I guess this unit is something like Line Infantry?
First, the turnbacks should be red rather than white. But both could be nice!
I would say, if it's possible, make them without shoes and gaiters and with short trousers.
Is it possible to add some variety, like 2 different kind of short trousers (one normal but without the gaiters and a pair of shorts). White color for the trousers.
Some variety with the head: some hat-less (with a white headband) and others with the straw hat.
Officer will be dress like French republic officers.
