Cannot Fight battles on map

As it stands currently from time to time i cannot engage an enemy on the battle map without a crash... sometimes it works other times it does not. im playing roman 1 turn campigns RTW.exe ...

not sure if worth mentioning but im running 2 graphics cards through an SLI bridge a NVIDIA GeForce 9800GT and a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX/9800GTX+


any help would be appreciated

..also auto resolve works without a problem

Oh i use windows 7, and i do not use steam. ok my resolution is 1024/768/32... did i mention i play on a TV?(not sure if important) [just switched to no atliasing] most of the other options are set to high... for the check boxes part 0=unchecked 1=checked

The first thing to try is to put the graphic settings at the lowest you can and see if you still can't play battles. If you still can't either your system can't handle it or the install is messed up.

I'd definitely turn off Dust and Battlemap shadows (from your list above).

The way to add an attachment is to press the 'Go Advanced' button that appears under the window you type your reply in. However, it sounds like it's a system problem and not a game problem.

Also - make sure you have the -show_err switch on - it should be in the launcher. Sometimes when the program can trap the error it will be shown when you exit the game (usually file missing messages but there are other diagnostic messages as well).
