Baron Robert de Courtenay arrives at de Gaunt castle.
He is welcomed by a small escort, and he is taken to the castle; There Oliver de Gaunt, the count, was sitting in his wooden throne
Welcome, Baron, why do you honor me with your presence?

He bows casually before the earl, then looks up to him.
Hail, Earl Oliver. I have come here to establish cordial relations with you, and perhaps negotiate an alliance of sorts.
The Earl smiles cordially,
Rise, my friend
Your motives are honest, but let us first have dinner. My belly roars for some roasted boar
He chuckles, and suddenly, a dozen of serfs start preparing the meal table, sitting the Earl and the Baron at the head of it. Where the liege and his guest of honor sit. While some poured wine in their coups, others brought soup, vegetables, deer and the lovable boar
So, Baron, how are things in Norwich?
He takes a seat, and admires the quality and variety of the foodstuffs. He turns to the earl.
Well enough, my lord. Taxes are flowing, as usual. Trade from burgundy is increasing since the treaty, which is always good. But enough about me, how fares you and yours, Lord Oliver?
We have seen better days, Baron. Many sons said goodbye to their mothers and never returned from France. That place is the graveyard of many of us; But, thanks to the Lord, the land is rich and the crops are abundant as always
He sticked his fork to a fine venison, the meet was tasty and full of juice
Well, I must ask dear Baron. Have you heard of the Order of Saint Lorentz?
He sighs,
Well, it is no surprise
He stared at the glass of wine that he was drinking
My grandfather, Nicholas de Gaunt, may he rest in peace, alongside with the brother of the Earl of Essex founded that order, with the finality of defending the integrity of the Kingdom. Swearing to fight against any tyrant and defend those who rule fairly of any threats
He sipped the drink
This man, the Earl of Essex's brother, was found guilty of murder and hanged. The order had to be disbanded, to avoid any problems with the law, and to hide their embarrassment, and that was the end of the Order of St. Lorentz.
Oliver then turned his blue eyes to the Baron
I am proposing you to re-found it; With you and me as it's leaders. To finally redeem it and to defend it's original mission
He muses for a time, then sips a mug of wine.
I agree with the orders principals. I would gladly found such a noble order.
Excellent,
He smiles and raised his glass
For the Order of St. Lorentz!
He raises his glass.
For the order of St. Lorentz.
I'm glad this is settled, my friend
He looked at the walls of his own hall, admiring the beauty of the paintings
We have to arrange a meeting with the King, so we can get his blessing and legally re-establish the order
He grinned, and nodded.
I am sure the order will prove to be a staunch protector of English values in the future, Earl Oliver.
Hopefully it will, Baron.
He was rather serious about the matter
Do you know anyone else that may prove worthy of be invited to the Order?

He stroked his chin.
The Duke of York and the Duke of Somerset seem like stout men.
He nodded,
I see. I will trust your judgement, Baron. I will invite them to dine here after I go to London, you are also invited Robert. I will need your help to convince them, if they do not like the idea
He nodded.
Very well.
