problem with DM 8.0 DE

Whenever I try to start a campign of any kind i get a message stating to choose an item from the list but nothing happens. Also, when I try to start a custom battle after select the armies it sends me back to the faction selection screen.

Hi,

i had exactly this problem, It was caused in my case by installing the DM8 mod over the Alexander expansion. I completly removed all traces of RTW and delected the activiosn folder, then did a fresh install. patched to 1.6 and this completely fixed the problem

I got BI with Rtw gold so isn't already patched to 1.6

Hi Crassk,

That would probably be the problem then, download the patch from www.totalwar.com. Here is what I would do if it was me.
1 download the 1.6 patch.
2 delete all traces of RTW on your system including the deletion of your Activision folder
3 reinstall RTW
4 install BI
5 patch to 1.6
6 play the game make sure its all working
7 install DM 8.0
8 enjoy.

could somebody provide me a link to the patch, the one to Totalwar.com seems to be broken. also when i try to run the darthmod installer, I get a message say the cabinet has been corrupted

You don't need to patch if ya got gold edition mate...Just Install:tooth: Install :tooth: Install :tooth: BI with

RTW

Hi crassk1

This was my mistake-sorry about that, I just went off to get the link for you and it said on the site you dont need the patch for the Gold addition. So the new method is:

1 delete all traces of RTW on your system including the deletion of your Activision folder
2 reinstall RTW
3install BI
4play the game make sure its all working
5 install DM 8.0
6 enjoy.

Hope its all OK-if it still does not work then re download the mod just in case there was an error in the download.

It isnt working for me too....I tried to uninstall the game and reinstall but It doesn't work...HELP!!
