Walloons who have a high school diploma and are unemployed for at least a year will receive 1000 euro's to obtain their drivers license!




You get your garbage bags for free whereas we pay 20 to 25 euro's in the north, you get all kinds of subsidies all payed with money transfered from the north, and now this?

We have just been told that we will have to suffer austerity, everything that is taxable will be taxed even more and then we find out that the Walloons will get 1000 euros for their drivers license?

French speakers =\= Waloons. Some Waloons speak German, some French speakers do not come from Wallonia (such as most of those from Brussels).

The discerning viewers of this thread will note that you could've pointed out that Wallonia was the part of Belgium that had "Wallonia" written on it and not the "blue part". You decided instead to either incorporate Brussels in Wallonia (which you denied later) or take out the German speaking part (which you don't seem to understand was not in blue by your definition -since Brussels wasn't in blue either because it had a tiny pink dot in it).

More embarrassing is your support for Flemish nationalism, which believes that Brussels and Wavre are Flemish because about 100 years ago they were supposedly Flemish, while discounting a few generations of Waloon immigrants, who have been born there.

Do tell me, Menelik, what kind of organisation condemns second or third generation immigrants as "invaders" and wishes to boot them out or assimilate them to their culture, completely disregarding democratic legitimacy. Nope never heared of him, I do know, that I'd like to get my garbage bags for free and a 1000 euro's for my drivers license just like you guys.

You don't have a problem at all with our taxation gouverment (even bevak's are taxed now) that also adds 20 cents to the price of cigarettes and an additional tax on alcohol due to the urgent matter of fixing the deficit, handing out 1000 euro gifts to Walloon unemployed?

I guess you don't have to make do for a familly of 3 with 1300 per month, 25 euro's for garbage bags is what? 50 euro's per month unless you get creative and dump your trash in the woods, then there is elecktricity, gas, the rent wich is 500, Diesel for the car, clothing for the little one, the girlfriend who is 500 euro's in the red on her account etc... My own tennant is 2 months late with his rent and we are going to have to renegotiate his rent price. He went to OCMW but apparently Flemish unemployed over 50 aren't entitled to anything (he has 1000 euros from the RVA because he worked before losing his job due to downsizing, OCMW sais it's more than enough to make a living) Cadastral income tax will rise wich makes me think about seling my appartement because I won't be able to pay the tax not with this gouverment.

In Wallonia on the other hand you get your garbage bags for free, 1000 euro's for your drivers license if unemployed for over a year etc...

Here's an example of why the garbage bag thing matters:

Wallonia has 3.456.775 inhabitants, let's say for the sake of argument that half that numbre makes up a familly unit that needs to purchase a roll of black or brown garbage bags and a roll of blue garbage backs every month, that means that 1.728.387 people need to consume 2 types of garbage backs these need to be produced and distributed, in Flanders you have to buy them in your local supermarket and the money goes to the city/village where you live, that means that in Flanders that amount of people would spend a monthly amount of 86.419.350 € that goes to their local legislature who pays the bills, and it contributes to regional and federal income.

In Wallonia however that amount of money is not collected, in stead the local legislature pays for the production and distribution of these garbage bags without ever receiving a single penny and thus not even going break even, it's another black hole that absorps money despite it's potential to generate much needed money.

As for the drivers license thing, if a 1000 people will receive this cheque, that means 1.000 * 1.000 = 1.000.000€ in times when we are lucky they haven't taxed the air we breathe yet.
