    Default HDD inquiry and heat question

    What do you think of this drive? For the price, it seems like a good deal.

    Also, when ASUS EPU is in High Performance mode, my CPU - listed in the signature - remains at around 52°C when simply browsing the Web. A few months ago, it was in the higher 30s/lower 40s. I've had the machine for a little under a year. Do you think it's time to reapply thermal paste?

    Don't bother with thermal paste. Just get a can of compressed air and clean out the heatsink and fan.

    Also, that drive is a great drive, I'm using one right now. They do have a bit high DOA rate like all mechanical drives, but if you can get one working, you shouldn't have any problems.
