    Intel i7 3770k
    High-end Z77 motherboard
    AMD 7970 3GB
16GB RAM G.SKILL, frequency is motherboard dependent. (Highest compatible)
SSD size of your choice, paired with a large (2-3 TB) hard drive.
850w Silver rated PSU should do the trick.
    Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro cooler.
    Cooler Master HAF 932 Chassis

That should fit within budget, and offer some room for peripherals. If you want, up the GPU to a 680. Better performance, but it is a big price increase.

NCIX is a good site to buy your parts from, otherwise I'd say go with Newegg.ca though their shipping is supposedly a bit more expensive.

make sure you get the 3570k, otherwise you have no need for a fancy cpu cooler.. 20 bucks more for 1ghz per core more is a bargain

Antec sonata III is a mid tier Chassis thats well bad at the best of times, the EarthWatts 500w PSU is passable but not up to snuff with the 7970 and an overclocked CPU

Well I'm trying to build your original build my guy is telling it's going to cost 1800 + taxes which brings it over 2000

Either the guy ripping me off or them are expensive parts

Yeah honestly I don't want to pay 1500 for a piece of crap and that's on a good day. I need to get your parts cheaper I check the website and it gave the parts for about the same price. Why shouldnt I get the haf 932?

yup dude is raking you over the coals hardcore

Euro / Quid is better than the US dollar

    Intelฎ Core™ i7 3770K Processor $300
    CPU Cooler
    Thermaltake Water 2.0 Pro $100
    Motherboard
Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard $140 if this board is expensive find another i use a Biostar TX77XE4 only paid $120 usd for supports SLI and Crossfire for multi gpu etc
    Graphics
XFX Radeon HD 7970 Graphic Card - 925 MHz Core - 3 GB GDDR5 $380 its not even the GHz edition card so far cheaper than other 7970s should also come with 3 games, Far Cry 3, Hitman Absolution, Sleeping Dogs
    SDRAM
    Memory
    G.SKILL F3-17000CL11Q-16GBZL Ripjawsz 16GB 4X4GB DDR3-2133 $100
    Hard Drive
    Seagate*2TB SATA 7200RPM $130
    SSD Drive
    Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB 2.5in SATA3 SandForce SF-2281 SSD Drive for 120-128gb SSD should be under $100-140
    Chassis
Cooler Master HAF 932 Chassis $130
    Power Supply
Cooler Master Silent Pro M2 850W 80+ Silver ATX $130 is all you should need to spend here
    Operating System
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit $100
    Labour / Warranty
Assembling with 1 Year Parts & Labour

    Total cost in USD = $1650 = $1250 Euro or $1030 Quid

their are far better part selections that can get the price down as well. dude is trying to make a small fortune off you for this build

so even with something like VAT being say 20% it should still come in under $1500 euro and $1200 quid, again price can be brought down. But it also depends on your location as well, example Greece has higher prices on tech than say France or Britain etc

This is an example of why you need to do this yourself and learn how to build your own. People like you get screwed over every day. Its not hard to build a PC if you follow some guides and read the instructions / manuals and their are ppl out their that will put a machine together for $50 euro quid usd w.e we have companies here in North America aka NCIX that for $50 will build the rig after you personally select all the parts.

I'm going to take my build to ncix and see what they say hopefully they can make me an offer i can't refuse

How much is the cost difference between the MHz and the GHz and how much of a difference does it make?

I just came back from ncix's store location the build came to 2034 canadian dollars taxes included with installation and setup

That was not the answer I was hoping for lol

Anyways my struggle continues, it looks like I might have to raise my budget to 2000

well if you make piss poor part selections then your gonna have an expensive build,

Hyper X is the most expensive Sandforce drive on the market heres the kicker its only 5-10mb./s faster than the cheapest Sandforce synchronous drives on the market that can be up to $70 cheaper
get a different power supply and motherboard
    change the Case
    change the memory

also dont use NCIX store use the ONLINE store, they are cheaper online with a better selection.

but my question is are they lower quality, will they break quicker. As I said before I'm really bad with computers I need a tank something that won't break cause I dont know what I'm doing. I know hardware won't cause to many problems for me it will most be the software but still I would like one less future problem

For certain parts, this may well be the case. However it's OEM specific, not brand specific, and it really only applies to things like Hard Drives and Power Supplies. Most everything else will outlast it's own usefulness.

uh no you realize most parts are made in a factory they slap a sticker on it thats it right?

reference GTX 680s or 7970s etc aka blower style cooler they are made in 1 location a brands sticker is placed on it thats it,

SSDs all made in similar factories in China etc just different plastic colored casing and a label,

if the NAND is Toshiba and the Controller is Sandforce the only difference between said drives is custom firmwares whoop de do,

almost all PC parts today are made to fail after there warranty is up so general rule of thumb if it lasts 3 years your lucky.
