I like blues. Just day before yesterday I saw Eric Clapton performing in Helsinki. Really good gig I must but too bad the only Cream song he played was Crossroads, which nevertheless was a thrill. Of cource Layla was a killer number too.

Its not really a cream song Its a Robert Johnson song.

I cant berlieve I havent heard from any others here on this topic. The blues is where most modern music came from.

Come on some of you must have some favorite Blues artists and songs.

The past few weeks all i've been listening to is Blues, just decided to take old some old Clapton CD's, and have got hooked back on ever since.

Hmm, alot of people i've been listening to lately:

    Buddy Guy
    Eric Clapton
    B.B King
    Muddy Waters

If you want great, soothing, but just pure blues, then look at those men, they are brilliant.

I love the Blues. I actually have Piano Blues by Clint Eastwood at home and have rented the Blues DVD collection from my Library. It's a good watch.

Blues and Jazz-Blues is excellent. I especially like Mingus' and B.B. King's take on the Blues.

Thank you Rush for correcting me, I wasn't aware of that! Then again a lot of songs have been 'ripped' from less known blues artist.
One of my favourite blues artist is Stevie Ray Vaughan, too bad he suffered an unfortunate death. At the Eric Clapton gig I was amazed by Derek Trucks! He played his guitar so wonderfully with a slide tube!

Edit: And of course your right, Rush, when you said that most modern music comes from the Blues! All the way to trash metal!
