    Default Ptolemaic AOR

Greetings guys, in my Ptolemaic campaign I am slugging it out and forcing my way into Armenia as the Seleucids are now occupied with campaigns in the East(I earlier drove them out of Kole Syria). My question is do the Ptolemaics ever get a chance to recruit say Armenian Cataphracts if I establish a type IV gov in their capital? My cav is good, but it just can't stand up to Seleucid Cataphracts.

Ptolemies don't get Armenian Cataphracts. If Elephants, Hetairoi, Ptolemaic Heavies, and Galatian Heavies aren't cutting it, you're probably going to have to go in the other direction; get lighter, cheaper Cavalry units with AP weapons (Heavy Cavalry Skirmishers, Arachosian Skirmishers, Arabian Light Cavalry, and the like) that can dance around the Catas with missile weapons before closing in with their sidearms.
I beat back their first attack with ease. Properly employed, E's can be very deadly, deadlier even than P's and Z's, though they're not as lethal as Paula Abdul or Right Said Fred.

    Alright thanks guys!

@Entropy Judge-I haven't recruited elephants as that sort of money as gone into naval security, Carthage atm has been sending large fleets into the area. My heavy cav does alright but prolonged battle they don't stand up against them. My hetariroi usually goes up against theirs

Yeah, no Armenian Cataphracts, as they are a factional unit for Hayasdan.
