    Default Very bright screen

The campaign map looks fine, but have a problem reading the recruitment and building tabs cuz everything is so bright. I have adjusted my monitor but thats not the problem. anyone having this issue, and how to fix.

    Thanks

As Greek strategos has posted it sounds like the bloom effect is being used. While it does improve the lighting on the battlefield it has the side-effect of making all the UI very bright indeed.

My undersanding is that there may be a key you can press to manually disable this when you are not on the battle screen. As I don't use the bloom effect I don't know what key does this.

I've just installed this mod and have exactly the same problem. The normal game visuals are fine but when I try and play this mod the visuals for the scrolls for building, troops etc. are really high contrast which makes reading etc near impossible. The bloom suggestion doesn't work and I have been fiddling with my nvidia controls for the past hour. Any other suggestion before I give up and install a different mod?

Solved: Another problem with the bloom is that the UI is too bright. You can disable it for the campaign map using shift+f12, and re-enable it for battle with the same key

It probably also helps with the battle UI if you play with the 'minimal UI setting' (in the preferences.txt file) as this removes most of the UI interface from the battle interface.

If you try the 'minimal UI' setting make sure you set up some control keys for the battle speed (Pause, Normal, Double and Triple) as these buttons are missing on the 'minimal UI'. I use Shift+P, Shift+N, Shift+D and Shift+T for these settings.
