    Default Rebel's Question

I'm wanting to change the spawn rate of rebels in the campaign map. I remember hearing that they could be changed in BI somewhere. I found the descr_rebel_factions file, but I'm not sure exactly how to reduce the chance of rebels spawning. I know it probably has something to do with the line that says "chance", but I'm thinking that I heard you have to increase the number to reduce the spawn rate or something?

I may have no idea what I'm talking about, I'm just going on several months old memory. So in short, please tell me how to change the spawn rate of rebels. Thanks in advance.

    open descr_strat.txt (C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome - Total War \Data\world\maps\campaign\imperial_campaign

you will find this lines there

    brigand_spawn_value 10 <----rebels
    pirate_spawn_value 28 <---pirate(naval)

biger the muber is, less rebels spawning, i think that max num. is 100(no rebels) ,byt im not shore

Oh, one last thing- does one need to start a new campaign when the descr_strat file has been modified in this way, or would it work with existing capaigns? Thanks again.

Might be far to expensive depending on the game situation
