    Default Vanilla/Modded same PC

Greetings, I want to know if I can have two instances of the game on my pc, one 100% pure vanilla, and another one for me to test mods and such, but independent one from another.

Or if that is unnecessary, there is some other way to play vanilla when I want to without having to uninstall and install all again, let me know.

Almost all mods for Kingdoms don't affect the vanilla game so you don't need another game.

Only mods for Med2 replace the vanilla, but I'm not sure if they'll work properly if you have installed kingdoms too
If you want to try some of these, then this is how to install another Med2: Rename the folder where Med2 is installed: "Medieval II Total War" to anything you want. Install Medieval2 again (maybe without kingdoms so you can use it for these mods??). That's it. Oh and the shortcuts on the desktop (or wherever) won't work anymore, go to Proprieties of each shortcut and edit their path to match the game you renamed.

Edit: I think you posted this in a wrong forum... Maybe you should make just 1 thread and put all questions you have there from now on

But that would ruin my Kingdoms expansion, wouldn't it? And if yes, which campaign?

Sorry I don't understand what you mean. If you're talking about the game you'll rename no, it will work fine, just the shortcuts won't work unless you edit their path. You can rename the Med2 folder, reinstall and do it again and again to have as many Med2 installments as you like. Each one will work with the medieval2.exe and launcher.exe in their own folder.

Well it should work from what I know, but a confirmation from someone else would be nice.

Could you be more explicit on what you're asking?

Let me see if I understand it, each mod works independently as any expansion campaign on the Kingdoms, everytime you open the launcher you chose which mod you will play or vanilla, is that right? I'm a little confused about this because the only mods experience I had was with GTA San Andreas, and mods there would overwrite your game, you could no longer play it vanilla, unless you had two folders, one original vanilla and another one modded as you like.

My friend you can have up to 100 mods and you will still have the original game intact.
The game's structure offers a separated folder for mods that do not affect the game.
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.
