Why must people keep Fing with movie cinema history? Jack Nicholson is the joker, end of story, heath ledger die for even considering TRYING to take that away from jack.
Well their trying to redo Batman as serious so they want to do a new joker, so I can understand that even though I like Jack Nicholson. I just can probably think of so many more actors to play it before Heath Ledger. They will PROBABLY do a decent job but seriously, i dont think Heath Ledger can top Jack Nicholson.
They should of tried to get Johnny Depp to play the Joker... that I couldn't argue with.

I could, Johnny Depp is the IT man for everything now, but he sucked as willy wonka. Johnny Depp isnt the golden child either...
I say get Jack to do it again. Then 'd watch the movie. Screw Heath Ledger...stick to romantic comedies.
the only reason I couldn't see Depp as the Joker is because I've never seen him play the bad guy.

Well, the Secret Window, he was the bad guy.
IDK i'd just want to see him play it just to see what it would be like.... idk if hed be good.
This Heath Ledger thing just reminds me of Foreman for That 70s Show and how hes playing Venom in Spiderman 3. Wierd casting calls.

Which is why I can't picture him in that.Originally Posted by MasterAdnin
I know his name is Topher Grace too, lol, it just adds more to it to say that Eric Foreman is playing Venom.

They can beef him up like they beefed up brad pitt for his role as achilles in Troy. But venom was crazy, and Topher Grace always plays the resererved, "nice guy" intellectual role in everything he does. Itll be interesting to see if he can pull it off.

Jack Nicholson's Joker was just tediously silly, like all of the first run of Batman films from Micheal Keaton's one onwards. Batman Begins has wiped the slate clean perfectly, hitting exactly the right tone, and I am confident that Ledger's Joker will be superior. The secret behind all these recent comic-book movie successes is that they take their subject-matter SERIOUSLY - it isn't all a stupid joke.

Batman was only "campy" because of that old tv-show.

actually, the only thing I liked about the original Batman movie was that they had Nicholson as the Joker.Originally Posted by Cluny the Scourge

Hes a likable actor, best way to put it. He would probably be great on a serious batman, but hes probably too old for what they would want someone to do in the new movie.Originally Posted by Last Roman

Pity, you know, I used to like his movies. Until recently, that is. I view him as nothing more than a genetic inferior now.
