Yeah, me too. Besides, the team hasn`t encountered the reinforcement ctd so far in the 1.5 version (for what Teleklos Archelaou`s has stated from his beta testing), but that was one of the mayor bug in EB betas... and was partially "sorted" already.
So hopefully the Eb team has ideated another "building tree" or MIC that is compatible with the 1.5 version.

I have played EB and I never encountered any large propblems....
these are issues that appeared when they attempted to port EB as it was in 1.2 to 1.5
It seems that 1.5 introduces certain "features" that rendered elements of EB code "problematic", among which the government types and the recruitment system (I'm not very certain about the details)
Obviously, these issues are not to be observed in the current version of EB for 1.2
PS: I must of course express my delight at hearing the good news... it feels like 0.8 is coming closer by the day![]()
BTW what's the other major bug remaining to be killed?

The MIC problem (which in the solving of it meant that Governments had to be slightly changed) existed from the problem of having Building Conditionals in the requirements for a unit. We used BCs to restrict the recruitment of units by various buildings, but most importantly, by the government in the region. But 1.5 caused the game to crash if any building recruited more than 8 units with BCs. BCs were particulary important in our reform structure and that needed a complete overhaul. Thankfully Blacksnail was on the scene and he worked out an entirely new system which kept the same effect as we wished to see in EB. Finally this new system has been implemented and it only remains for all the new recruitment lines to be put in and we will finally have an operating MIC structure again.
The other bug is the old reinforcement bug, which is currently the attention of our scripting team and great headway is being made with this insistent problem. While the MIC stuff is being ironed out and implementation of all the new units is taking place they will be working hard on sorting this problem out for 0.8.

funny... I thought the reinforcement bug had already been resolved just by passing over to 1.5 :hmmm: Anyway, I hope it's also fixed soon...
(BTW does the bug kick in every time in 1.5? because in my 0.74 campaign I've managed to play quite a few battles with reinforcements and survived through them without a CTD - however I've suffered a few very "painful" CTDs on other occasions)
Our current understanding indicates that it is with a specific trigger rather than a number of triggers. So it can, of course, not occur, but we haven't divined which one yet. Thankfully, only a few triggers apply for battles so our search is lessened.

Has the Reinforcement CTD shown up on 1,5 versions???
TK said some time ago that this bug hasn`t been encountered on the 1,5 version by that time, and that CTD occurred only on the 1,2 version (0,72 , 0,74). It`s true also that the Beta testing was not very intense by that time, but... I thought that the problem was no more... was it?![]()
Well we wouldn't be fixing it if it no longer existed. At the beginning our internal build hadn't had many testers working on it, but activity is stepping up and this problem has again raised its ugly head. But never fear, we have plans and we are putting them into action. If there is a solution we will find it.

So do we, so do we because we realise that this reinforcement bug is a big problem for most people (and understandly so) and it is so unfortunate that it ever appeared. But then again thats what you get for breaking boundaries, and our traits system certainly did that. The entire team is really hoping for a big breakthrough soon with this problem.
