    Default Windows 7 problems

I am running windows 7 Home premium and finding it a bit confusing. My problem is that i have installed a new HDD and Windows does not see it. The HDD is detected in the BIOS but not in windows. Has anybody any idea why this is and what i need to do for windows to see the new HDD.

    My setup,
    Motherboard Asus M5A97
    CPU AMD FX4100
    Memory 2GB
    1 X HDD 500GB
    1X 1 TB (new)
    DVD drive
    O/S Windows 7 Home Premium

Check your cables. They always get me because I don't get one pushed on all the way.

It's possible you may need to format your hard drive before windows can recognize it.
