    Default Well...this is awkward

So playing FotS after a long while and having a blast (S2 "trilogy" is still awesome as ever)..

Anyway my antivirus has a habit of throwing me to desktop so I usually just keep the game running in the background while I check youtube, fb and stuff before continuing playing. The game generally pauses when this happens but not this time, I returned after a few minutes and well..the entire enemy army was routing, all I got left was to hunt them down.

Its rather disappointing to see AI beaten by an afk player although to be hones I did place my army very well, and had superior troops.
    The results:

Edit: This is Normal difficulty by the way so this might not happen on higher difficulties, either way some flanking attempts wouldnt go amiss.

    Erm...what's awkward about this?
Wait what, you dont command your troops AT ALL? You're busy in FB and running the game in the background?

From my experience with Shogun I can say that AI is quite capable of executing flanking manouvers, especially with cavalry. I haven't played FOTS much, but if you've positioned your troops well enough to minimise the risk of flanking, then it's not that surprising considering most of your troops were armed with muskets. I've found vanilla FOTS quite frustrating in this regard, since it seems that all that's required of you to win is to position your troops in line and wait for enemy to get close enough for your troops to start annihilating them, especially if you have modernised army against mostly melee troops. Manouvers on battlefield are required only if you're on the attack and AI refuses to move - it sometimes does refuse, thankfully.

In Shogun 2 AI tries to flank me all the time too, here they could have flanked me on one side easily, idk maybe they did but failed.

My game always chrashes if the game minimizes during battle (not during game)...

Even on normal, you still have a small bonus advantage (on top of in this case superior troops).

I'm more shocked about this one...rather than the whole not commanding...

    I always chant "DontCrashDontCrashDontCrash"....
