How do I beat Dwarves as High Elf?

One question - I am on turn 28 in my High Elf campaign, and have almost destroyed Isengard. But for some reason, the Dwarves at Kibil Dum and Thorins halls attacked me. I prepared a large force and took Kibil Dum, then fell victim to the garrison script at Thorins Halls. It spawned a full stack with Iron Guards, Iron Crossbowmen, and tons of Dwarven warriors. I gathered my army and fought back but:

-My archers were useless against the armor of dwarfs.
-Their Infantry destroys the Sword Quendi.
-Dwarven Infantry is effective against armor, rendering my cavalry useless even from the back.
-Iron Crossbowmen are effective against armor.

Any suggestions so the dwarves dont take Lunelaith and Nenuial?

1) Use one of the RC submods.
2) Look into a Good vs Evil submod that prevents good factions and evil factions from fighting amongst themselves.
3) Archers in Vanilla TW are overpowered and armour values are less than they should be, so they should work decently enough. If I can score kills on Dwarves with Clan Hunters in RC, you can score kills on Dwarves with Elven archers in Vanilla.
4) After you charge them in the back, pull out and charge again. Don't stick around.
5) Charge the enemy missile troops first with your cavalry.
6) Why did you take Lunelaith and Nenuial? Those are in the Dwarves' sphere of influence. Hand them both over in exchange for an alliance.

Huh? Elves archer kill everything on the path except the very high armored target [armor more than 20+, just armor] which is very rare [Olog-Hai and some super elite unit example] You won't face much elite units on the campaign.

Just you use it proper way, use Guerrilla tactic to soften weakest armor target, move your archer units alot even you will got chase entire map

but they will tired from chasing you because Elves have super stamina so they less likely to be tired from running than others race.

Depend, what you fighting against? if ordinary Dwarven warrior, All Quendi can easily hold them without serious problems

if you fight Iron guard, Dragon Slayer, Erebor Axemen, Vault Warden better use your archer kite them until you run out of ammo then full engage. Remember, you are Elves, you have super stamina, use it as advantage.

Dwarven are slow-ass, they can't catch you whatever due to their super heavy weight armor.

NOTE: you can full retreat one time after your ammo running out so another fight you can have full ammo again, use this tactic when you think you can't win them easy and you are low on men.

-Iron Crossbowmen are effective against armor
Your Elves archer will out ranged them easily, try to hold that advantage and don't get caught in range, Thus they shooting a bit slower than bow, that's it.

Also your main infantry should be used to hold the line , then hammer and anvil with the amazing bodyguards and other great cavalry which the high elves have.

Ah did you take those settlements from enemy or you attack them [Dwarven] directly? whatsoever, you make them angry lol because its their condition to win

and more, High Elves don't need it for win condition I think... so no point to take them and make enemy.

Don't use your archers to shoot at the front, you must shoot at their back or sides to score a kill on armoured dwarves (especially with shields).

No, only with shields. If they don't have shields, it doesn't matter where you shoot them.

If you want to know how to prevent dwarves from taking Nenuial and Lunelaith, well you should be able to take Lunelaith in the 3rd turn or so with your starting troops from Mithlond and Elostiron and as for Nenuial, send one of your mounted bodyguards right away and siege the town every turn so nobody else would be able to take it.

And then, if you want to, you could buy off Kibil Dum and Thorin's Halls (there is even an exploit allowing you to buy both of them for ~2,5K).

High Elves have really badass units... I have suffered a mass invasion of dwarves with high elves in a castle by putting all my units in the center of the castle and firing hundreds of arrows to them and sending melee units to them when they started approaching me.

In open fields u can just shoot and run, but it is a little stupid to do so. It works fine though.

Just do what elves do best: Shoot stuf at them from a distance, and if they get to close, run away. Since most dwarven units have AP, your elves will get mauled if you get into melee, but as long as you just keep running, you'll be fine.

Elven Quendi units should be able to hold the normal Dwarven infantry while your archers turn them into hedgehogs and your bodyguards spear them, this also works on heavier units of course but takes a lot more casualties and more time.

2. FULL FRONTAL ATTACK

3. Watch the little suckers die like flies.

OR.

1. Reroll Gondor.

2. Get Fountain Guards.

3. March them north in a mad dash for vengeance.

4.. Watch the little suckers actually become lollipops

KILL THE LITTLE MIDGETS BEFORE THEY KILL YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, like everyone else has said just shoot them. If you can't match them in melee then don't try. Just take archers and split armies into 2-3 groups. The biggest needs the general and keep that central while the others each take a flank while the Dwarves march staright at 1. You'll end up making little pincussions out of people in no time. Also target dwarves with bigger shields from behind and the shieldless ones from group 1.

Lindon Longspears actually murder most dwarven infantry. They have 9 attack armor-piercing, and 12 total defense (4 armor + 8 defense skill). They are a very unique type of spearman
