Need Help! Start Shogun 2, cursor doesn't change, and then it crashes saying nothing.
So, to start, I am running Windows 7 on my Macbook Pro through bootcamp. Steam and Shogun 2 (Not FoTS) are both located on an external drive that's formatted to NTFS.
I clean downloaded the game, and installed through steam. It went to the first screen that says "Shogun Total War 2" and all that jazz, and after about sixty seconds it crashes back to desktop. After that, oddly enough, it shows the menu for Shogun 2 from Steam, listing different selections like "Play Shogun " or "Benchmark 1080i" and other options like that. Mind you, this is after it crashed the first time.
So, I clicked "Play Shogun 2", and it does the same thing. This time after it crashes back to my desktop it does nothing, no menu or anything.
The cursor doesn't even change on the first one, and on the second attempt...after about sixty seconds the cursor changes to what I presume to be the Shogun 2 cursor for about 10 seconds, then it crashes.
I would very much like to play this game, so much so that I created an account here to ask for some specialized help.
What can I do to help you guys help me so I can get to playing?

Just for the general knowledge, I went to systemrequirementslab and my laptop surpasses the recommended settings for Shogun 2, and I have also tried the four steps in the sticky for "Official Advice if you have trouble launching shogun 2" thread.

systemsreqirementslab results don't mean
on any total War game by the first patch. It's a known fact since Empire was released.
Post your dxdiag, both of you.
