Sorry cant find the beginners' silly question section. Could somebody give me a link? I'd like to know which troops to use for public order factor. Are there no peasants anymore? How do you handle this?

Rephrasing. Do you use mainly cheap numerous troops as in Rtw or use mainly buildings to keep po? Both?

I'd advise to only garrison front line Mini-Regions and further use cheap units to garrison internal Major ones. FM's are important too, use them in combination with the right buildings and taxation to maintain public order.

I generally try and put a family member in the major regions (that way, as well as earning more money and having higher public order, the settlement also gets population boosts when you enslave regions). Apart from that, I put as many troops that are needed. Since it is calculated on how many soldiers you have, I generally tend to work out which unit has the cheapest upkeep cost per soldier.
