Ikko-Ikki pre DLC

How where the Ikko-Ikki before the DLC with same ? I see them in my first campaigns in end turn in the unpatched game but never meet them. Where they the same as now with ronins and ikko monks or a normal minor clan ?

Normal minor clan if i remember right. They still hold kaga and echizen if i remember right.
Standard units, no ikko specific units (atleast before patches) cant remember their religion back then though

Info in the data.pack tells us there was an ikko_ikki military group tied to the faction at release, including the various custom Ikko units.

I think they might have had the Ikko religion, but didn't have the buildings or specific monks to spread it, so it just kind of sat there and never spread. Other than that they were just another minor clan, complete with regular ashigaru and samurai.

There was already a unique ikko ikki look of sohei mixed with ashigaru during vanilla day one. Other than kamon and clan color not much difference with other minors.


I remember that matchlock monks during the siege of awa castle in the demo had the same look of cowls mixed with do maru. now its all robes
