basic question about this mod

are any of you getting bested on the battlefield as the romans after carthage has been beat

and later in the campaign?

I guess my question is, are the battles a challenge in this mod

can I expect some defeats

IMO the campaign gets harder in the later game. Once Carthage is defeated Spain is a tough battle of attrition that can go on for a while. As for the battlefield The Boi can be dramaticly more difficult to defeat in the winter in forrest. The Cimbri as well . And when Parthia spams cav and horse archers its a challenge if you stick to standardly comprised Roman armies. The Dacians will beat you at times and in the later game some nations will send endless stacks at you and you can get overwhelmed. In greece once Macedon had 9 full stacks on the screen. I think Dacia can beat you on the battlefield provided they have expanded alot prior to your war with them. When they get big they tend to have stacks with lots of experience and they have some great armour busting soldiers.

This is hands down the best Mod i have played for RTM. Battles look and play well. The mid/late games gets pretty good when the superpowers clash

You will have some defeats later. The game is tough. If you want a really big challenge, play H/VH. You will loose your share of battles ...
