    Default Laptop Keyboard Replacement

A friend spilled "like, about a shot" of scotch on a laptop. Windows loads to Desktop and the touch-pad works, but the keyboard does not. Do you recommend replacing the keyboard? If so, do you know of a reputable Online merchant selling keyboards for a Toshiba Satellite L775-S7245 (Core i3) Laptop? I couldn't find anything on newegg.com or tigerdirect.com.

Is the keyboard completely dry? It may not work if it's still wet. You can get new keyboards from Ebay. Below is a link to your model.

Here is a slightly cheaper one, but it ships from China. It may take a long time to arrive from there.

the usual drill with electronics is to dry them first power on after a few days. I usually use silica gel or rice. Cat litter without any additional contents also works, but leaves a mess, also a bag of rice does wonders.

After that you see if it works.

You could buy the keyboard, I hope you know what you are doing those ribbon cables are pretty flimsy.

Windows loads, and the touch-pad pointer works, but the keyboard does not. I shall hire a friend who works on laptops, to install the new keyboard. Thank you for the links, Atraps.
