    Default Suggestion: Events for Isengard

    Ive went a bit over this before but i want to extend it a bit more.

    What i suggest is events for Isengard, and the split of the Dunlendings and Isengard itself, so its 2 factions instead of 1, ill go over that later.

    Ill go over my suggested events.

    First off, Rohan and Isengard should be at peace and Isengard shouldnt have Uruk-hai straight from the beginning, Isengard should start off with Orcs and Snaga, this is were this event chain comes in.

    Isengard should immediately start off with a mission to conquer Fangorn, after the mission is completed, Special Buildings will be available to be constructed in Fangorn and Isengard itself, both of these buildings will be pre-requisites to a later event.

    Second Mission should be to conquer the Dunland Lands which will be Rebel Provinces, once the player has conquered these lands, he has 2 choices, Give Dunland their lands back in exchange for units each X amount of turns, Dunland will be independent and will have an Unbreakable alliance with you, 2nd choice is to just leave them be under your control with some consenquences.

    Once the player constructs the buildings for the event and has conquered Dunland Lands and made his choice, the next event will come in, Uruk-hai can be build now from Isengard and conquered provinces provided he has the culture and barracks to recruit them, and this event will also speed up the recruitment of Orcs and Snaga by a big amount.

    Next the player will get a 3rd mission to move Grima to Edoras which will slow down the recruitment of Rohan and will see the disbandment of most Cavalry until rebuilt, next, the player should get a missions to conquer Gineard, Foldburg and finally Hornburg respectively which should be difficult to conquer.

    Once Hornburg is under siege, Elves and Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas will spawn in addition to the Garrison Script units to defend Hornburg and the player will get a special Sapper unit after a few turns of Siege which he must use to blow up the wall of Hornburg, the player cant assault Hornburg until he gets the Sapper Unit, if he fails to destroy the Hornburg wall with the Sapper unit, the battle will be a lot more difficult than Normal.

    Next, an Ent army should spawn under the control of Rebels which sole purpose is to take back Fangorn Forest and destroy Isengard, if these are done the areas will come under the Control of Rohan.

    Finally, if Rohan has gotten a Gandalf event(which should appear the turn the player has gotten the Sapper Unit and assaults Hornburg, the reinforcements will take time to come), An Army will spawn under Gandalfs control with Rohan Cavalry to relieve Hornburg, if the relief is successful, Grima is Killed and Rohan will be able to recruit units normally again.


    All of these events will help the player get a more immersive and fun expirience when playing Isengard. Of course these should be optional.

    I felt like this needed to be discussed, because it isnt just 1 minor suggestion, its an extensive suggestion which changes the game as a whole for a number of factions, i feel like it wouldnt get the deserved attention there no matter how much time i put into thinking about it and typing it, which is why i didnt use the thread.

    Also what Ngugi says is true too, this isnt the final suggestion, of course there could be improvements which i will think of, feedback is important for this suggestion too and its also one of the reasons i posted my own thread.

    Now if there was a suggestions sub-forum i would use that for this thread.

    Seems you're making it even harder for Isengard. It already has a difficult time as it is. Also, this will probably require a war with Rohan right away. Not sure whether your ideas are possible hard code wise too.

    Its supposed to be hard to take Hornburg and repel the ents, Isengard originally failed those.

    Remember that the reinforcements will take time to come so if u take hornburg fast enough the reinforcements wont have any chance to fight.

    Also remember that by the time the Player reaches Hornburg he will have events helping him across the board against Rohan, including unit gifting by Dunland and faster recruitment time, etc...

    While the ideas sound cool I personally balk at too many things that are scripted in an effort to make things match lore. At some point we have to admit that we are playing this as a game and do not want to be bound by the lore. I am for making starting conditions and units ect. matching lore but prefer more open gameplay as far as choices. This idea seems to funnel an Isengard or Rohan player too much into following the lore. I prefer to let them have the option of fighting whoever they want.

    Thats why they are optional.

    Or tie the Uruk-Hai to the barracks event.

    Isengard without Dunland will be too easy to kill off.

    The player will be waiting a long time, since sapping doesn't work in M2.

    It would be nice to get a chance to fight Ents.
