    Default Restoring to vanilla

I haven't played in several months. Fired it up today and noticed that the version indicator on the main menu screen has the (modded) tag. Went through the data folder and the scripts, can't find anything to indicate what's causing it. Steam verify can't even work out that I've deleted patch.packs (I temporarily deleted a couple after the first verify turned up nothing). Noticed after that that Steam thinks the install is 607Mb, not the full 30+GB

It's not a huge issue for me, more of an annoyance b/c I don't know what (if anything) has been changed. Is there anything outside a full reinstall (which I'd rather avoid) that could restore the game to its unmodified state

The easy way is to delete both Shogun2 folders and reinstall.

Well, I was hoping to avoid that. 30GB is way more than my monthly bandwidth cap

Go through the user_script.txt and delete any mods listed in it, then delete it, then verify the game cache.

If it's been more than a while since you even started the game delete the full scripts folder and verify the game cache.

Steam/Valve/Sega/CA do not give a damn about monthly caps.

Did you add any map using TEd ?

IIRC even installing the tools without any mods/map installed also cause the version have modded tag there.

Done, tag is still there. Just checked, I can join MP games without issue so it's nothing major. Looks like I'll have to do a reinstall at the end of the month though

I have used TEd, and have the assembly kit so that is possibly the case.

What's really concerning me is steam failing to realise I've deleted half a dozen patches, and the size on disk being ~5% of what it should be. I really don't need it to randomly start DL'ing the remaining 32.5GB it thinks I don't have.

That's probably Steam issues so it may be best to post screen of your folder etc and send it to CA/SEGA support.

Or try to change your download location, just in case.
