Watched a movie and wanna say what you think about it? post em here!

    ill start with:

    Alexander: Directors Cut
imo the movie was okay. acting was bad on some parts and excellent on some. (such as Aristotle) the battles were nice but when it comes to a phalanx scene it was pretty plain. imo the River battle (with Indians) was the best battle part.

Lets make it new movies - so people who want to see one will have a hint.

Superman Returns - chick flick. Not for guys looking for action, but for guys looking for some action.

Cars - great movie, even for older people. Some unfunny bits, but a really great movie.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2 - very nice film, 4 stars at least. Really gets you in a piratey mood for a few days yarrr.

When V first talked i was hoping the whole movie wasn't going to be like that. Made the "are you a crazy person" line all the more funny.

    Dr. Strangelove:
    The Ultimate Black Comedy

Its been called one of the funniest movies ever made. It also happens to be one of the most disturbing movies made. The humor is right there in your face, however, there is always an underlining political critique under every character, every line, and every government representation. Slim Pickins is the never quit Airman. He is a representative of our entire military system of the time. The president, played beautifully by Peter Sellers, is a demure, calm presence trying to deal with the Russian premiere. His perfect counterpart is a war hungry General, ready to accuse the Russians of any small infraction. This leads to one of the funniest lines in the whole movie. Sellers also plays a British airman who has to deal with the crazed general in the usual polite British manner. Seller's third role is that of the title character, Dr. Strangelove, a former nazi and weapons designer for the Americans. He represents the scientific community of that time period; those who worked tirelessly to build a better bomb. These characters, all of them strongly parodying a cross section of society make for an odd story. The final scene, while played for laughs, is actually a frightening image of a communist future. The final moments are frightening in their truth leading one to put themselves in a position of the characters. Dr. Strangelove is the funniest disturbing film I've ever seen.

In short, it's proof of what communism has done to China. And I'm not being positive here.

Has anyone here seen My Dinner With Andre?

It's directed by Louis Malle (Au Revoir Les Enfants) and the entire movie takes place with Wallace Shawn (The Princess Bride) and Andre Gregory (The Last Temptation of Christ) sharing a meal in an upscale restaurant talking about their lives.

It was, in my opinion, brilliant.

Speaking of The Princess Bride: That scene where Wallace Shawn and Cary Elwes have a duel of wits over the poisoned goblet of wine is one of the funniest (most clever) scenes I have ever seen. It's a classic.
