Launcher and settings issue...

Hey guys...I'm back from a long break from R.S and I have a question for the launcher... Why the launcher doesn't save my settings like enable post Marian general,high res. unit models and vegetation quality??? or are they saved but not ticked in the launcher??? it seems that I have to enable them every time and I know that in the R.S 2.1 the launcher stored my settings...

Also were I can find this settings in the game's folder??? and how do I know they are working in my game???
I don't remember many things from my playing days with R.S so sorry if these questions sound silly...

edit:sorry for the typo. (Launcher) in the header of this thread...

Edited (Brusilov) - fixed typo in header. You know if you went into 'advanced mode' on the post or the edit of the post you could fix that yourself? Also thread moved to tech help where it belongs.

Hmm, thats strange, the Launcher's settings are always the same for me when I start it up...Wish I could tell ya the problem but im sure Suki will be able to help as soon as he is able =)

open the file location of your roma surrectum shortcut icon. In that folder there should be a file named "launcher" that has all of your launcher settings.

Example C:\Roma Surrectum\launcher

Yes I know about that,my problem is that although I can see the changes in that file when I run the launcher...the launcher doesn't save my settings...

Oh wow, I didnt even know about that, just the preferences.txt...Thats good to know about though!

If it does not save your changes (or keep them) it's something to do with your permissions or the folder (or file) is marked as read-only.

I am quite sure it's neither of the two but I will check it out...

Edit 2: Just to be sure that you understand my problem, the settings are saved in the file launcher.ini...They are not saved when I start the launcher form my desktop...R.S 2.1 saved them without problem though..

Come on guys...It's quite strange that I have this issue only with 2.5 and not even once with 2.1...Many people have problems with the launcher...Is this normal??? I know how to install a mod I'm not new to this(I checked every possible solution) and I'm playing R.S from the start...
I repeat I'm using R.S 2.5 (torrent combined installer) (hill forts fix) and my launcher saves the setting in the ini. file but not keep them when I run it and I must set them every time...
It's not such a big issue but maybe the team guys could help me with this...
Thanks in advance for any help(also the guys who replied to my thread) and sorry for the trouble..I just want a game without flaws and worries...

I'll message him...Does your launcher always keep the changes though??? (not the ini.file) the exe.

EDIT: my launcher also says RS 2.2B rev. Launcher 1.2.2 is that normal???

Yes that means that you are using 2.5 Correctly. Rev 2.2B in the launcher means 2.5 RS

Hey mate...
I can't solve that issue with the stupid launcher...Any ideas???

EDIT: I have an idea...Is it ok if I will use 2.1 R.S launcher which have no problems for me???
