super high end mobo and 1200w PSU are highly unnecessary

with Ivy Bridge cpus motherboard doesnt matter for a hill of beans in terms of performance reliability or overclocking headroom, CPU matters more lol, 3TB seagate is okay but their warranty is pretty much garbage, dropping to a more realistic HX 850 or there about PSU and dropping to a regular non ridiculous motherboard would save enough cash along with swapping out to a 2TB WD Black that you can grab a 256gb SSD for OS and specific apps , dont have alot of time to break it all down right now.

So what motherboard would you recommend as a replacement? And with what I want to run is 850 enough I am planning on putting a second 680 in there eventually will the 850 handle 2 graphics cards?

if you actually plan to go 2x 680s get 2x 680s otherwise by the time you decide to buy a second card the next generation of GPUs will be out lol crossfire sli tends to be less attractive when a new series of GPUs arrives,

for 2x 680s id go with a simple 1000w unit for long term reliability with overclocking

motherboard anything Z77 that supports SLI and has decent slot arrangement. Ill look into it later.

Well the time frame I put to get 2 was less than a month so I don't think it's too big a problem. If you think 1000w is enough than I'll trust your judgement on it, and I'll wait for your opinion on the motherboard although I would like something i7 & quadcore.

Motherboard to go with the i7 3770K
Gigabyte solid board with a decent bios and performance also has a sizable discount right now.

I would take crazyeyes advice but I would just change the gpu and go with the msi 680 lightning which is probably the best 680 out there, specially if you overclock it.

the ripjaws heatsinks are smaller so if you use a larger heatsink aka typical tower cooler from Noctua / Prolimatec / Coolermaster etc etc etc a typical air cooler will not allow you to use the corsair memory

the ripjaws are 2x sticks at 8gb for 16gb total it means with the ripjaws you can upgrade to a total of 32gb where as the corsair your stuck at 16

ripjaws are also faster at 1866mhz vs 1600

What kind of tower than would you recommend for the corsair, and is that the best version of ripjaws out? Another question I have is what is the difference between the power supplies, other than the loss in power?

yo do see the heatsink size correct?

with a water cooler like the H100 its not a problem but if you go with a typical tower cooler etc. well the ram wont fit now with the CPU + CPU combo deal i posted above that ram will fit but its also more expensive, and with all the parts selected you will see i also color matched everything from the get go. Also with the H100 you will need a CASE THAT WILL SUPPORT ITS USE

as for memory they use the same Chips aka Crucial / Nanya / Samsung etc etc etc all make the memory chips, brands like Gskill / Corsair etc just buy the chips from them for use in products. As it stands Gskill is the larger ram producer compared to corsair and has a faster turn around time via RMA and $10 is $10 the gskills are cheaper.

I like all the parts you've found but I've never had liquid cooling, so it's application is beyond me. Do you know a case similar to the one I mentioned in the OP that fits the cooler, or one that you personally like?

if you can understand that you will need to install non critical apps and games onto the 2TB and use the 256gb SSD mainly for the Operating system and key files then yes its a good setup is it the best no can someone do better with more time sure but the above will work. Its up to you to build it and know what your doing from their however.
