RTW EB 3D Audio

Hey guys I need help. I REALLY want to play EB but when I click on it, it says failed to intialize 3d audio. I have tryed: reinstalling, putting in missing msdl file, rebooting computer, everything. If it helps I got RTW Gold edition from Amazon in download form, so it is in the Users are, not programs. I REALLY need help. I have looked at the preferences folder and it is already at Miles. Please help.

My drivers are all up to date too.

Oh and normal RTW works fine.

Did you try vanilla before installing EB?

If vanilla worked and EB dioes not, disable the UAC for Win 7.

You have to be logged in as Administrator, too.

Hey, I just installed Rome Total Realism in case I could not get EB to work, and it had the same problem! "Failed to intialize 3d audio!"

Uninstall the game, delete all folders, run a good registry cleaner, reboot, install the game, patch it if necessary, start a Julii campaign without installing any mods.

Does the campaign start?

If you have the cd version try installing in C:\Games.

No reason you can't dowload it, again, if amazon has not put a cap on the amount of downloads.

Just to make it clear, this is what I should do, right?
1.Uninstall Rome Total War Gold Edition (I have a copy folder in case something happens, do I delete that too?)
2.Uninstall RTR and EB
3.Use the thing you put a link to, the cleaner
4.Download and Install
5.Start campaign
Is that right?

2. Should be delete the Rome:Total War Folder. If EB and RTR are modfoldered, they should be deleteted with it. If you made multiple copies of the Rome total War folder for the mods, then also delete them. CA's piece of

for an uninstaller won't do it for you.
3. Right. to cleanup CA's mess the uninstaller does not.
Between 3 and 4, restart your computer. Let it clean out the ram.

If the Julii campaign started, install one of the mods. If it starts we're in business. If not, contact the mod team as it is no longer a general technial question.
