It would by honor to become a Civitates on TWC under the patronage of Asterix. I hope the quality (forgive my chutzpah ) and scholarship of my posting on VV somewhat offsets a relative low post count on my part. For the past year, I have greatly enjoyed in participating and learning (and educating others with trivia) on the VV, discussing military history, particularly commanders of antiquity. The campaigns of Alexander and Hannibal is where my forte lies, and I have access to a tremendous amalgam of information, both original sources and revisionism, of all military history (I live in New York City, next door to an extremel complete library). I will be purchasing my own laptop over the weekend, which will allow for more impromptu posting (ie, in the middle of the night etc.).

This is, hands down, the best site, in terms of diversity, civility, and learnedness, that I have ever seen. Even the attractive layout is very alluring. TWC is certainly the place for me to spend significant time contributing towards.

I would enjoy contributing to the higher-level CVRIA and SYMPOSIVM threads, as the erudtional nature of the posting would certainly not lessen any degree of humility from me.

The most prolific VV poster, with a knack for good argument and elaboration of discussions. I was going to hold of on sponsorships for a while but I decided to go for it when I became a daily reader of his posts. He convinced me he loves TWC and wants to be a part in the MTWII future of this site.... need I say more?

He has posted little since being a member, but has picked up recently. I offered him patronage once he reached 100 posts quite some time ago.

A tough one... I am not so sure. We have to ask ourselves:

1) Does he post well?
2) Is he respectful?
3) Does he contribute to the site?

Answer those and the answer is obvious...
