    Default Pike/bow effective?

Hey guys, i faced an opponent a while back that used a pike shot strategy with his army. He had the complete advantage over my heavy cavalry base army. So i thought? Since i dont have muskets yet, why not try a bow/pike strategy and see if it works. Well here's a video showing its destructive capability.

Now im wondering if any of you have tried this, and what are its weaknesses? Iv'e played three battles and won all three using this technique. please share your knowledge.

Bows are overrated in the game now in my opinion.

It works fine, until you run into someone who runs Naginata or Sword based armies. My advice? Find something you like and stick with it. Having an army composition that you're comfortable with and know the limitations of will make your life easy.

Well that guy had a better chance at you if he used his cavalry better, that fight was very uncoordinated. If he timed it better without such big gaps between and delay some of your forces he could collapsed your center and hit the archers which cause problem for you. Though alot depend on the timing, way you deployed was better, he try to be too neat.

its an alright army. but its only good vs inexperienced players who dont know how to react or form their armies properly.
