NiceFirst Artillery piece on display.
From the description sounds like there will be more types of artilery now, should be interesting, should i go for multiple smaller cannons, or one giant showstopper:hmmm:
Very nice. Can't wait to see them in action first hand. Hopefully, modding the artillery unit stats is the same or easier in MTW2 so that I can put like 6 Culverins in each unit.
i had a bit of trouble finding it , its not on show for the uk site only the american
How to post the image in a link in this post ? To see it bigger?

Perhaps Booom, but the peasants have a 50:1 chance of not even seeing the canonball coming close.Originally Posted by mark0701

But its not about the weight of the shot, its all about the weight of their pants
I hope Fear plays a big part in M2TW.
I cant wait to bombard my enemies with that thing.

I'm looking forward to the big Ottoman guns. I like the culverin, but isn't the barrel supposed to be more narrow? I don't know, that's just how I remember it from MTW1. Anyway, as long as it can actually hit something every 4th or 5th shot and has a decent supply of ammo, this is what I'll hold bridges with.![]()

I can almost see how a charge with some decent troops is going to put an end to those guns.Originally Posted by Barbarian-Bob

I think you are correct the culverine had a smaller barrel.

It's on the UK site for me and there's two of them on the American site!
I'm not. The fact that Urban's Basilic was wildly inaccurate, close to impossible to transport, took forever to load and that the smaller Osmannic guns (of more practical size, as were within a short while the norm all over Europe and the Middle East) caused most of the damage to the Theodosian Walls, and that experiments with such super-guns were discontinued in favor or practical artillery, tells us something about what Mehmed II really thought about the "supercannon". Its inclusion in M2:TW is going to please the omgbig****inggun crowd weaned on BFG9000's but myself, I'm going to mod that baby out ASAP. :wink:Originally Posted by Barbarian-Bob

cannons are all very well but i'd rather see Petards instead. The sight of a man running toward a gate with a bomb and accidently blowing himself up would be funny in medieval kind of way- 'Hoist by his own Petard'.

Very nice.
Looks pretty good. It'll defenetily be a benefit in NTW3!
