Intro dillema

Hi can anybody tell me what faction is in the intro of the game. I now that the red faction is Takeda but the one in the castle I don't now who is. Is Uesugi ?

Probably Uesugi due to the warrior monk robes and armor, but could also be Ikko Ikki. Those guys were pretty religious too.

The red general is Takeda Shingen, so the monks are most definitely Uesugi. Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin had one of the most epic rivalries of the time.

If I remember correctly the the clan holding the castle is Tokugawa. You should be able to see their flag during the few shot showing the castle at the start and the end of the cinematic.

I just rewatched the intro just to make sure and it's most definitely Uesugi. All of these clans have several different styles and colors of banners, and some of those on the castle do resemble Tokugawa but they're not. Anyway, it just wouldn't make any since to have Tokugawa represented by monks when they are known for their ninja. Or to have Takeda Shingen fighting any monk clan other than Uesugi.

Actually, google Uesugi banners and you will see that the mon used for Ikko Ikki in the game is the mon more popularly known for Uesugi.

But it is both the flag and the colour code of the Tokugawa clan from the game's point of view isn't it ?

Intro movie for Shogun was made by outside company hired by CA for this purpose, so it doesn't represent anything related directly to the game - it wasn't made using game engine that is. I think they wanted to make something that catched the spirit of the era and Takeda - Shingen conflict is kind of iconic, so the best guess would be that the monk is Shingen (while Takeda is rather obvious). It's hard to see exactly what kind of mon is there on castle unit flags, but it looks very much like Uesugi one (not the one from the game though).

In other words: Maverick is right in my opinion

Back on this one you could the French soldiers in Italy wearing imperial uniforms and what seems to be a grenadier wearing a bearskin during the battle of the pyramids both from ten years later.
Despite those inaccuracy it was the exact representation of the uniforms of main campaign (but not of the Italian and the Egyptian campaigns).

While the rivality between Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin is extremely famous it is a famous one for people interested in Japanese history. Usually CGI video (especially intro) aim the wider audience possible and I somehow doubt the people who were asking if "shogun" was some food or those who were complaining about shogun 2 being a game not been set in Europe (in opposite to the fives previous games) would really think about it.

I think the reason why we see a warrior monk is simply for diversity. And a ninja might seems a bit out of place for a duel. (Though I must confess I'm a bit sick of the popular depiction of ninja been utter warrior and acting like everything except an assassin)

Plus a Tokugawa warrior monk is not devoid of any sense. The Ikko Ikki was not the only sect involved in politic. Tokugawa Ieyasu like others warlord used a sect under his influence to help him the Jōdo-shū. It makes even more sense if you consider the fact that we see a Takeda army besieging a castle while the Takeda clan nearly wipe out the Tokugawa clan before the intervention of Oda Nobunaga.

Now I repeat again I talk from the game point of view. Tokugawa clan is the most logical choice since there is not so many clan using gold and white as its colour coding in the vanilla game (without any DLC). Things are of course different if you consider the video alone.
