    Default TGW 5.0 Development Update - Beta

    Welcome one and all!

    Its been a while since one of these. Just to let you all know things are moving on and we are getting closer to release there is still some way to go however.

    We have reached a stage we consider to be beta. This means most things are done, though much fine tuning and bug fixing is still needed. We also still need to add some models, perhaps add some units, make unit cards and do a whole host of other things. Crucially beta means the mod is complete enough that we can playtest and catch any bugs. Release seems ever closer.

    Anyway here is a small preview of some UI features myself and Aanker have implemented recently for your viewing pleasure!

    Hopefully this shows that we are still making progress despite still having some way to go!

    Looks amazing, absolutely brilliant work. This will be the most innovative and creative Total War mod yet, I think.

    Is the cannon card in the infantry cards the one of artillery observers?

    It's the mountain artillery, which curiously resembled earlier artillery.

    Aha do I see Canadian troops? Yes! (Or Nova Scotia can't tell. The flag with the Red background) They didn't join the confederation until later. I look forward to seeing the USA units.

    the jacket needs to be longer, normal mapping on helmet cover is mandatory. other than that, looks neat. don't botch this.

    Great to see a lot of progress is being made! Was hoping for a November 11th release but I see that it's a little farther off than that. Easily worth the wait though, keep up the good work!
