I couldn't find a topic like mine in the SeFu so i startet up this one.
I think I asked my question long time ago, at least 1-2 years, but I can't remember your answers. So be nice to me
Question: Sometimes (until yet just twice) my King don't have the same range like other generals. In 99% after 5-10 rounds everything is fine again.
Example from today: My King - playing with Parthians - is 46, at least 20 years in war and he's a pretty tuff guy. Now with my elite Warriors i send him to the final battle against the Seleucid Empire in todays Jerusalem. Clicking next round and tada ... He walks just 1cm an needs 10 rounds to Jerusalem although he would need just 1 round, normally. So what can i do? Send him back to a city? Thanks guys

It depends on the time of year and your character's traits. If it's winter, the campaign movement is limited because most armies didn't fight during the winter months (or at the very least lessened their campaigning). The limited range is partly due to that factor.

The other factor is the traits of the character tied with that particular army. Some generals get bonuses to movement speed, others get negative traits. Check what time of year it is (if you don't know what I mean by that, just scroll north and see if there is snow or not) and his traits.

Usually when your generals get older they have less movement range due to traits. Not always, but it happens quite often.

EDIT: Also, 46 is pretty old to be leading elite armies if your general isn't a badass (4+ stars). I typically try to groom generals I think will be good for field operations, and if they don't have 3+ stars by the time they're 40, I give the army to some young, budding general. The old guys get stuck with border patrol armies since they're still capable, just not really for offensives.

I don't think this is true. My armies move as fast in summer months as they move in winter months.

You sure? I almost always seem to notice army range reduced during winter turns.

Oh I've noticed that appallingly small movement rate as well, only happens if I bribe a general, then he can barely move. Takes 15/20 turns to move what a normal character can do in one turn.
