Default Your Favorite Battle In the Books (SPOILERS

I was just wondering what your guys favorite battle or battles were in any of the 5 novels.
There are a couple of rules.

1.The battle has to have occured in A Game Of Thrones - A Dance With Dragons. So for example, Roberts Rebellion or any of the battles in it do not count.

2.One of the POV charactors from the books has to have taken part in the battle in the past or the present.

Here are some of the many battles which have occured in case you cant think of any.

    - Battle Of Whispering Wood
    - The Sack Of Winterfell
    - Battle Of BlackWater
    - Battle Of The Sheild Islands
    - The Seige Of Astapor
    - The Red Wedding (not sure if it counts as a battle, but what the hell)
    - The Retaking Of Deepwood Motte

    Battle of the Green Fork?

Anyway, mine would be the Battle of the Castle Black.

I remember the sack of winterfell, I think.
You mean the one where Theon takes over Winterfell right?
If so then I don't think that was very interesting, clever? Yes, interesting? No.

Theres the battle of Winterfell when Theon took over, then there was the battle when ramsay took over. I thought that both were intersting,well..maybe not the theon take over. But Ramsays betrayal of theon was very intersting. In my opinion of course.

I would have to say the battle at the Fist of First Men, even though most of it is told in flashback. 'Tis but a taste of what we will get in TWOW

That was by far one of the sadest battles of the book, but also one of the greatest.

Probably Battle of Whispering Wood, or Castle Black. respectively, they represent two huge turn's in the plot.

Probably the Battle of the Blackwater. That said, I feel robbed of so many would-be favourite battles but of Stannis and his red priest. I would have loved to read Renly against Stannis. I would have also loved Stannis attacking Storm's End. Courtnay Penrose was a legend.

My favourite is the Battle of the Green Fork. This is actually the only battle we have told in realtime that utilizes field vs field strategy and tactics. Battle of Blackwater Bay is good too, but that sudden "victory" just felt abit anticlimatic in my opinion.

I agree, but I completely hate that it's the only battle that the series depicted during the action.

The Battle-Beneath-the-Wall or the Battle of the Blackwater. Though I will admit I always ended up rooting for the losing side.

The Battle of Blackwater, closely followed by the Battle of Castle Black (the first one).

The one where the king of the giants died was very sad, but also quite fun to read
