Give your faction leader increased fertility through traits.

pretty sure those are for male only. you will have to look up princess traits on your own. i dont remember. those two traits by themselves should be plenty to get a lot of children.

Alternatively, you could just add a trigger to add this to your faction leader so that you don't have to remember to type it in every time.

Like others said, use the fertility cheat. It's the only one I use; in fact, I don't see it as cheating considering that the game does everything to stop you from having a nice, royal blooded, big family .

How many regions do you own? How many family members and non-family generals do you have? The game maintains a [hardcoded] ratio of family members/generals to settlements, so if you don't own enough regions there'll be no baby making (or they'll mostly be girls).

Might be for both male and female, just give it all a try yourself, and save before doing this.

You can also add the 'Fertile' trait to one of your princesses, but I think you'll find it strange to look at her traits and see in the description something like 'this man is very virile' . The trait for females FM is FertileWoman

It's case sensitive. You need an uppercase "F".

While there is a topic on family member may I get involved with a question? It saves making a new thread. I play SS6.4 and I have noticed that the turn time is 1/2 a year per turn... yet all my characters increase their age 1 year per turn. I've only played a dozen turns and my young heir is in his early 30's.. is there a way to edit this?

yes i have same problem,my was timescale 0.25 but still 1 years for per. turn for all family and gerneral...its cause they user a mods call "Ageing Script"..all you need is delete "Ageing Script" in campaign_script

now that work perfect for me..not more 1 year for one turn.thanks god. :-)

You probably modified the turn time. It is 1 year per turn by default in SS. But yeah, like the other poster said, you just have to delete the "Ageing Script" in order to set it back to how it was in Vanilla (i.e. 1 year every 2 turns).

I have been having the same lack of family members problem and was wondering if you could help direct me in how I give my characters more traits. I am not sure the order of how you type it in and how to include the characters name. My Venetian Doge needs to start pumping out more generals to take on the Byzantines

The amount of FM's you can have is tied with the amount of provinces you have, for example if you had 3 provinces dont expect a family of over 6 - 8 people. You can try recruiting generals from castles, but im pretty certain that that has a bad effect on the FM's-per-province ratio, although im not 100% certain about it, but i would love to have some confirmation from someone

Make sure to have general selected outside of settlement. Push~ button. Type following: give_trait this fertile 3

At least think thats how its done. Been a while since I used it.

I have been playing this mod for awhile now and I do not like to use cheats or what not, but one of my favorite factions to play is venice and I have lost before because my family line has run out. Sicily loves to assassinate as well, which does not help the situation. Is there a way to improve your family members, heirs, or leaders fertility?

I for some reason still cannot get the code to work. I have typed in: give_trait "Doge Vitale" Fertile 3 and it says "character not found! Any idea what I may be doing wrong?
