    Default New Animations for DLC

Just a personal suggestion, it would be awesome if CA - apart from other game content which is destined to come - would also release new battle animations periodically (and it would serve as DLC as well), and put to great use their crazy MoCap studio.

I personally think the more animations we have, and the more they produce would immensely benefit the mod scene as well. I still technically dont know the logistics and problems are for such a suggestion but I'd definitely be willing to pay top dollar for it. leme know what yall think.

Why not just patch it in for everyone? Not doing it would be equivalent to shoving additional features into a DLC that have no relation and would benefit everyone; you can see this sort of thing easily in Skyrim dlc, but CA has fortunately averted this so far, what with not having to pay for the 40 vs 40 battles of FotS.

But, adding in new animations sounds wonderful, if somewhat cost inefficient.

not to say that i wouldnt embrace it if it was free or anything, but I'd imagine it'd take some work to get new animations out and about. I personally love sitting back watching units duel it out on the map, but it gets old from time to time with the same animations

I like the way they've been doing things so far: unique specialized units in DLCs, expansions for major new campaigns, and even if you don't buy the expansions, many of the new features are patched into the existing game. I say keep it up

if I pay 50 or 60€ and you are saying that I would have to buy then every now or then for animations and dlc ? so in theory if they release 10 dlc and also every dlc costs 1€ so in total I need to pay 70€, no tnx, I will buy the game but I dont itend to be forced in such way

i think it would be interesting for unit dlcs.. make new units and give them new animations..(which in turn can be used again by modders for other units) shogun 2 should have done that aswell with some of the new units, it looks kinda stupid to see those guys with the huge clubs swinging them like theyre katanas.. a new animation for them wouldnt have hurt in the slightest.. but i guess they didnt want to get into the mocap studio again for just a few units, also their new one was under construction at the time so not sure if they could even if they wanted, but sure would have been nice

more animations is more realism in battle, this is very good.
but all animations must be implemented in the game.

An important problem would be that the use of new animation in mod would only be legal for people who buy the DLC. Modders would need to provide multiple versions of one mod for every animation DLC and mix of animation DLC. For three new animation DLCs 10 versions of the same mod would be required to provide the possibility to every gamer to play it. That could meant a lot of work. A second risk is simply the lack of interest of both modders and players. I somehow doubt everyone would buy every DLC (though I must confess I'm an anti DLC).
