Should I get back into it?

Hi All,

I had an awesome time in Shogun 2, specifically the multiplayer. However, I have taken a long break and have experienced none of Fall of the samurai. Is the new multiplayer worth purchasing the stand alone expansion? Please list any new significant features they have added. Rome 2 is a long way off and I am looking for a competitive multiplayer game to get into.
