Default Need help badly! Please take a look!

Ok i'll get right to the point. So a few weeks ago, it was very hot outside. My PC is very warm even if it is cold outside so you could imagine that it was quite hot that day. So i was sitting inside playing World of Warcraft (dont ask) on full graphic settings and so on. And suddenly the computer just shut itself down. "Oh ****!" was the only thing i could say as i noticed that you could barely hold your hand on the PC chassi without getting burned.

So i pressed the start-button. It hummed a little as it usually does when it starts. But after a few seconds it just gave up and shut down again before it had even started. So i waited until the next day as i thought it would be ok if it could cool down a little.
And the next day i tried. it started as usual. No error messages or anything. Everything was normal. But then after i had been playing a few minutes, it shut down again. But this time it wasnt even remotely hot. It was quite cool actually.
I couldnt start it directly afterwards. But after a few inutes it started as usual. Everything was normal. Then to my great dispair i noticed that the computer would shut down every time i played a game a few minutes. Everything else works as it should. Its just the games that makes it shut down.

Im going to call customer service or something but i have no idea what is wrong so i doubt they can help very much. So if you have the slightest idea of what could be wrong or broken, please say it! I will do my best to answer any questions you may have. Altough im not very good with the technical things about the computer.

    Please help me!

I had this sort of problem in Egypt - it was overheating. Sort out the cooling system.

I have cleaned the fans the best i could from dust and so but the thing is that it still shuts down even if its not remotely warm. And im a little afraid of opening the entire thing and poke around. It could be that i just do more harm than good. But if something have been fried, it should be easy to spot if i open the chassi and take a look, right?

More advice is appreciated. Thank you.

depends, ide check the cpu for any heat damage and then if you have done this before remove the entire motherboard and check underneath it for heat damage too just incase. then check ur wires and if its still heating up just try leaving the side panel off

I'm pretty sure this is an overheating problem. Have you tried just leaving the side panel completely off?

Yes good idea, I did that last summer when my PC was overheating al the time, it really helps to cool it down.
Also, maybe add an extra fan?

The shutdown may have reset your videocard temp warnng levels. Check those and see if they are at the normal range. May have damaged videocard, so that its shutting down when it starts to warm up.

And how do i do that?
I also noticed that to remove the side panel, you need to take of a little thing thats holding it together. And im not sure if i want to, because it can affect the warranty and so on. If i then turn it in, they can refuse because i might have caused the problems myself by opening the side panel. Get it?

    Again, thanks for all replies.

Well you can't fix it if you can't even take the side panel off, so you have to just either take your chances and take it off and clean the inside of the computer with compressed air or send it in for repair.

Yeah i guess you are right. But what to choose? Repair=big chance of PC working again. But probably cost alot of money. But if i now open the side panel, and something is infact fried. I do have to turn it in for repair anyway, right?

    Thanks.
