Why I don't play Shogun much

I don't regret buying the game, I do enjoy it to a point.

However... I feel the battles are over far too quickly, appart from the impossible sieges.

The game in a whole feels arcade-like, unlike medieval2 or Empire, after 60 turns i feel myself auto resolving most battles because everything is either undefended after 1 decisive field battle or just plainly undefended.

I find myself going back to medieval 2 or Empire because of the fact it doesnt feel so arcade-like, medieval 2 battles usually last me 20-30 minutes depending on my army size and 9/10 i'm usually outnumbered.
same with empire, I feel this really needs to be addressed

play a harder difficulty level play as Oda, and turtle for about 25 turns the Ikko ikki, Imagawa, Takeda, etc will all like a word with you if you only own owari / mino / mikawa or w.e ive been attacked by 3-4 full stacks from various forces before easier difficulty far less troops just the way it is. crank up the difficulty on the campaign map and blammo instant out numbered all the time situation.

yah play on a harder difficulty i play on hard and i get my arse kicked once in a while in the field and if you play mods some give them garrison bonuses wich mean there's more units protecting the cities so this make them hard to take but i'll give you that sieges in shogun arent that fun

iv had a forty minute long battle before. it was a highley experianced honma clan army vs 3 massive ikko ikki armies i destroyed 2 armys but eventually i was defeated. all my men fought to the last man. it was the most epic battle iv ever had in a total war to date.
